Kris the hyena Character Sheet

Kris is an anthropomorphic hyena character design I created as an assignment for my animation 2 class.

I created Kris because I wanted to create a cunning, lazy, smug character who works in an office as a boss. I like that despite his lack of character he is a boss in a boring office job, something about that irony really makes me interested and excited about this character.

The reasoning for his design was a combination of the thought "What would a really crappy boss look like as an animal?" and "How do I make it interesting?"

I settled on a hyena because I thought I could utilize hyena's laughing as well as their stereotyped mischievous nature. Since I wanted this character to have a resting aggressive face, he needed to look intimidating; hence his large neck, teeth sticking out, and pointy ears. The muted tones and glowing eyes also help support this.
